The dental amalgam fillings are made up mercury (50%), silver (40%), tin (8%) and other alloys (zinc, copper …) in a lower percentage.

This mixture has been used for about 150 years to make dental fillings, as it is malleable and cheap. But their presence in the mouth for years produces
a slow but constant release of these heavy, toxic metals that in the long run can affect the endocrine, immune and nervous systems.

Why is mercury counterproductive?

The maximum absorption dose according to the World Health Organization is 43 micrograms per day.

There are different ways of absorbing mercury. For example, among the food sources of mercury we find some fish and also industrial orange juices, since they are squeezed with the skin, which is usually treated with elements rich in mercury.

The overload mercury produces a set of symptoms and various problems evolve and accentuated with time.

How to detect mercury poisoning?

The most frequent symptoms are:

  • burning sensation on the tongue
  • metallic taste
  • bluish gum tattoo
  • bad breath
  • inflammation of the gums
  • sensation of electric current
  • chronic tiredness
  • Hair loss…

Chronic diseases depend on multiple causes, but the release of mercury can often cause or aggravate pathologies in sensitive people.

To assess whether there is mercury poisoning, there are several tests :

  • hair and blood analysis
  • Melissa test that assesses the existence of allergy to different metals
  • Galvanic test, which measures the voltage of the different fillings and metals in the mouth, and allows to establish the order of change.

Replace fillings to prevent poisoning

Mercury dental fillings can be exchanged for other mixtures or resins to prevent the metal microparticles from being ingested.

The dentist who carries out the amalgam changes has to carry them out little by little : two amalgams every 15 days or, better yet, allow at least a month to elapse between changes. This gives the body time to eliminate the metal waste from each intervention.

Purifying supplements and herbal teas to remove heavy metals from the body

Expel heavy metals is not a simple purification of toxins.

To get rid of them, a chelation must occur : certain substances must trap inorganic molecules of heavy metals and create compounds that are eliminated through urine. How to favor it?

For the liver to perform chelation effectively, the following can help:

  • the chlorophyll (1,800 mg a day), present in algae (Chlorella, fucus, spirulina) and green leaves
  • the sulfur amino acids (methionine, taurine)
  • the glutathione (18-50 mg a day)
  • the Lipoic acid (350 mg with breakfast)
  • and sulforaphane from radishes and crucifers

Ayurvedic medicine uses coriander and burdock to purify and expel heavy metals.

You can take two cups a day of these herbs in infusion when the fillings have been removed.
