They Find A Possible Mechanism Of Action Of Homeopathy

Physicist and biologist Niurka Meneses will present a study that suggests that homeopathy acts on gene expression.

Niurka Meneses is a physicist, biologist and researcher at the University of Bern. He states that he has discovered a mechanism of action of homeopathic medicines in the laboratory and will explain it at the next National Homeopathy Congress to be held in Madrid from April 5 to 7, 2019.

In an interview with Dr. Gualberto Díaz, Meneses explains that the drug Carcinosinum 200CH is capable of activating the genetic expression of repair proteins in lung cancer cells. This expression occurred in all components of the cells.

Self-healing proteins are expressed

“The proteins that are activated are those related to the transcription mechanism as well as defense proteins, which indicates that the cell is trying to regain its health,” he specified in an interview with the journal Discovery DSalud.

The researcher believes that the finding “opens a huge door to the future of laboratory research in homeopathy.” Meneses will study new homeopathic medicines and their effects on plants, as she is an expert in agro-homeopathy, that is, in the treatment of plants with homeopathic products.

Private and independent investigation

Meneses carries out his research in his free time, independently and privately, apart from the studies he carries out on radiopharmaceuticals at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry of the University of Bern. But in his work he has the support of two doctors, one an expert in mass spectrometry and the other in biochemistry.

Niurka’s interest came from her own experience as a patient, as she turned to homeopathy to treat her asthma, without much hope of obtaining results. The efficacy of the treatment aroused his scientific curiosity which crystallized in research on its efficacy in plant care and now in studies on gene expression.

5 invited international speakers

In the Congress, which will be held at the Duque de Pastrana Palace, there will be 4 other important international speakers, in addition to Niurka Meneses : Doctors José E. Eizayaga (director of the Department of Homeopathy at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University Maimonides, in Argentina), Dr. Hélène Renoux (primary care physician in France and member of the editorial board of La Revue d’Homéopathie), Dr. Rajkumar Manchanda (Director General of the Central Research Council in Homeopathy, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Government of India) and Dr. Natalia Sofía Aldana (director of the postgraduate course in human homeopathy at the Luis G. Paez University in Colombia).

Spanish speakers and program

Among the ten Spanish speakers are Dr. Gonzalo Fernández-Quiroga, collaborator of the Cuerpomente magazine , professor and spokesman for the National Assembly of Homeopathy, the organizing body of the Congress; and Dr. Alberto Sacristán, president of the National Assembly of Homeopathy and of the Spanish Society of Homeopathic Physicians (SEMH). The complete list of speakers and the program can be consulted on the Congress website (www.congresohomeopatia2019.com).

On Friday, April 5, there will be the opening of the Congress and two workshops open to the general public: the first of them, entitled “From patients to homeopaths: let’s put the batteries on”, will be presented by Miquel Peralta, president of the State Platform of Associations of Homeopathy patients; and the second, on how to “Learn about homeopathy on the Internet”, by Dr. Fernández-Quiroga.
